Los valientes investigadores de animal tuvieron que enfrentar una serie de obstáculos a fin de poder captar y mostrar lo que estaba sucediendo durante el Festival de Gadhimai. Filming the guardia festival has been
the toughest investigation we've ever conducted the
challenges have been innumerable
and they've been extreme starting right from
how you reach the festival uh the approach road is
so packed with traffic that there is no way
that you can come with your own vehicle
up till the festival point so there's always a challenge
to reach to the festival in terms of logistics many
of the times we have to take our vehicle to a certain point
and then we have to walk from
that point till the festival which means it can take
anywhere between one to two to three us
to actually reach the festival these fields are Filled
with human experiment
and we have to walk on these fields for
that the most d.

through such difficulty you are so exhausted
but you have to keep up your spirit you have to make sure
that you are working efficiently on the ground again we have
various challenges when we reach the location some
of the challenges are that we don't have access
to clean water we don't have access to the clean food

but of course there is a limit on how much we can carry
so we have to survive on that for more than thirty as

with the highest decibels the music was absolutely deafening
and this was the kind of environment which we had

of dust flying almost all over which was making it
absolutely difficult to breathe at any given point

to maneuver ourselves amongst the crowd
and there were so many instances
of stamping we were fortunate enough to get out
of these situations and make it alive
but until the time we made it alive outta these situations
in our mouth and we thought that we will
probably get trampled over by people
and all of us were moving around in groups
and i remember how we were holding each other's hands just
to make sure that we don't get trampled
and that we don't get lost there were so many instances
of people getting lost in the festival as well so
that was one of the most emotional moments
where we held our hands together made sure
that everyone was physically secure
and we made out of it alive the first reaction
of any activist when they see animals in distress is
to go there and rescue them
but of course our hands were tight
and we could not do any of this over here
so i think the biggest challenge again was that inner tule
that inner struggle to go out and rescue those animals
but not being able to do so
so the least we could do was document what was happening
to them and bring it out to the world this time
around the biggest challenge was filming
because the temple authorities had stopped filming
altogether they had prohibited it they had given very strict
instructions to the security officials to their Volunteers
to the fullest officials
so every time they saw a camera they would slap the camera
there were instances
of the Volunteers in the temple authorities even attacking
people with sticks throwing c at them while filming so this
was one of the biggest challenges en this kind
of a very difficult situation we had
to still continue filming
because this is what we need to do we need
to bring these atrocities to the world we need
to show people what kind of cruelties inflicted on the
