Diane Morgan on Being an Animal Lover
You may know Diane Morgan best as Philomena Cunk, or as Kath from Netflix's After Life, but did you know that Diane Morgan is also an animal lover?
That’s why she has joined us in our latest campaign to urge the UK Government to make sure that animal abuse does not go unpunished.
With fewer than 3% of farms being inspected on average each year, animals are left at the mercy of an industry that exploits them for profit.
Animals face unnecessary suffering in factory farms and slaughterhouses across the UK because the law is not being properly enforced. Consumers are being misled, and animals are paying the price.
Together we can fix this broken legal system and build a better future for animals. We’ve launched a petition urging the UK Government to implement a licensing system for farms and slaughterhouses, where facilities that do not pass inspections are not allowed to operate.

Hola, soy Diane Morgan.
Sé que parece que estoy haciendo una
audición para "Todas las criaturas grandes y
pequeñas", pero en realidad quería hablarles
sobre animales. Me encantan los animales y me
encanta ver vídeos de animales como este.
Pero odio ver vídeos de animales como
este. Las
vacas, los pollos, los cerdos, las gallinas y otros
animales en las granjas industriales sufren muchos
problemas durante sus cortas vidas, pero
su sufrimiento se mantiene oculto para nosotros. Las
investigaciones encubiertas demuestran cómo estos
animales sufren a diario en granjas y
mataderos de todo el Reino Unido.
Existen algunas leyes para protegerlos mejor
,
pero las normas rara vez se hacen
cumplir.
Podemos cambiar eso. Al firmar la
petición de Animal Equality que insta al gobierno del Reino Unido
a establecer un
sistema de licencias para todas las granjas, podemos lograr un
mayor escrutinio público y aumentar las
posibilidades de que se descubran los casos de crueldad o negligencia animal deliberada
.
Y al reducir o eliminar los
productos de origen animal de nuestra dieta, podemos contribuir a acabar por
completo con el sufrimiento de los animales de granja.
Si hacemos esto juntos, podemos hacer del
mundo un lugar un poco más amable.
